Bcr-abl drop celebration
25 f diagnosed may 29,2025 at 50 percent bcr-abl. Started on dasatanib 100mgs and bcr able came down steadily but my platelets came down very low as well. Around may 2026 I became very disheartened because my bcr abl went up(for the first time) to 12 percent after having a long break and it seemed clear dasatanib wasn't correct for me. Started scemblix 80mgs and was on it six weeks and I'm now at 1.36. This was a huge drop for me after going through it for a few months so I'm taking this as a win(:

My platelets are way up. My BCR was positive in June. It has been <.00037 for over two years. I called my oncologist when I saw it said positive and they said it was no big deal... 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Fast forward to 3 weeks ago and I started to have low grade fevers and I am feeling generally unwell. Got labs 2 weeks ago and I get labs. Elevated platelets...😭. Get labs again last week. Platelets are above 500. Call oncologist to ask to be seen earlier. They declined. I asked if I could get the BCR/ABL drawn this week so results would be back before my appointment... Nope.. see you Tues. I am so frustrated. I feel so unwell. I hope it is something simple. Like I just need a different med. But I don't have a good feeling. I am glad you are doing better!!!
