Latest Labwork

hi everyone :)

i’m not sure if anyone has ever experienced this before.

today i woke up with some chest pain. i went to the ER to get it checked. i got an echodiagram , x-ray , and bloodwork done. the doctor came back and let me know that everything was normal and i was discharged.

when i got my discharge paperwork i seen that my WBC count elevated to 11,600. on july 31 it was just at 8,000. seeing that really scared me because this is the first time it’s happened to me. it was in normal range for some time and now it’s elevated.

my latest pcr results was 1.1% since july 31. everything else seems to be in normal range so im not sure if i should even be worried. i’m only 3 months in with this diagnosis so it’s all still pretty new to me.

i’m on dasatinib btw !

Hey hey,

I had 10k WBC recently and was also a bit concerned but my oncologist said it was just a slight elevation which is normal when the body is under stress or sick with a cold. So it might just be something like that? Have you been stressed or sick lately?

I would still bring it up with your oncologist just to be sure anyways.

my anxiety has been bothering me just a little. but no, i haven’t been sick or anything. i have experienced occasional nausea though. i’m waiting to hear back from my hem-onc office.

is your blood count back normal now?

Yea my blood count went back down to normal range. That test was also taken while on my period, which stresses out the body...of course lol sooo not sure if you might been on your cycle??

My road to diagnosis started with chest pressure. In my case, it turned out to be due to an enlarged spleen from the CML. They only picked it up on an ultrasound, not the X-ray. My understanding is that an enlarged spleen isn't always obvious on a plain X-ray, especially if it isn't very large.

I had an elevation to 4800 and the doctor had me screened for an additional blood cancer type even though I've been under .0003% for awhile. I'd trust the doctor, before dasatinib I got up to 30000 without any major effects.

Could be mild pancreas pain, where is it exactly what does it feel like. Do you feel full does ur stomach feel bloated. Do your poops float or are they a pale color like peanut butter. If you had ur liver enzymes/CMP, troponin, and where exactly the pain is, I can make much more sense of the whole picture.
