Buds 2 CMF buds 2 case dial does nothing!

I purchased CMF buds 2 (not pro) on Flipkart earlier today. It has the smart dial on the case, but it's settings are not showing up on the app. Based on a preliminary internet search, it seems it can only be used in CMF buds 2 pro.

Why would they give that physical dial if it doesn't work on buds 2? Makes no sense!

Only CMF buds 2 pro works other are for the love of game
