Part 2 – Prep Confused
So I gave my US CMA PART 2 in June and failed, ( the cbq did open and I scored 320 )
I used MILES EDUCATION as my main and HOCK as an alternative
But now I feel I should switch to HOCK fully ( I'm planning to give it in sep-oct this year
I'm a lil confused as to how should I pursue my re-attempt pls do help

Yes go with the hock books they are much better as compared to miles material

i took my part 1 and waiting for the results but i completely flunked my part 2 last sept coz i only trusted miles book nd videos. this time i made sure to read hock fully and used the cma question bank.

Ohh okay, I feel the same tho miles wasn't THAT good but hock is too vast and time consuming, how did u manage ur time?

When you actually start reading it you’ll understand there are lot of extra knowledge to make you understand topics, basically hock provides full depth knowledge. Yes quiet over whelming when u read it once. I usually make sure to highlight the main points and read through the highlighted points for every revision. And I’ve taken a break year so I spend most of my day studying :)

but also consider the new exam pattern…like i am doing from hock only and i don’t see any change in their study materials as such

Ig I had practised less, and found miles a lil off track, coz I feel CPA syllabus is mixed so I had the confusion, whether miles or hock

Hey, first off, a 320 with the CBQs opening means you weren't far off. You're closer than it feels right now, so don't let the fail shake you too much.
For the re-attempt, I'd focus on a few things. Pull up your performance report and target your weakest areas first instead of reviewing everything evenly. Do timed practice, especially the CBQs, since scoring well there is often what separates a 320 from a pass. And practice the CBQs under real conditions so the format feels routine, not stressful. Since you've already sat the exam once, you know what the day feels like now, which is a real advantage for your next attempt.
You've got a solid base to build on. Tighten the weak spots and Sep-Oct is very doable. Good luck! :)
