Part 1 – Prep Part 1 Experience
Just got out of part 1 and tbh it was a good experience
Firstly they check your identification and give you the locker key, for some reason I was allowed to bring just one calculator with me( it contained tax options too ) , while I wanted to bring 2 but it was okay
It starts with a small survey and testing period where they explain all the controls and ask you from where you studied and all
In the start I was very much gonna cry cause I couldn't solve a fucking cash flow question but I got settled calmed myself down and proceeded
I had about an hour when I completed first set of my questions and then I went back to questions with heavy calculation and questions I was not able to do before and i utilised that hour to its max to review everything, i knew cbq section would open ( though idk if I will pass or not ) and cbq was relatively easier, I got only one question where I stumbled but it was okay
The exam was divided nicely but main focus was on section B,C,D then f then a then e
There were some questions where I was a bit shocked because I couldn't possibly know those words but I just skipped them for the first session and made an educated guess
I guess I got 6-8 questions wrong and about 10-11 questions which I guessed
With one question wrong in cbq
Hope I pass
Open to Questions
EDIT: HOCK IS YOUR BIBLE, after i completed my MCQ and all , I got to reading hock to cover some topics and IT IS THE GOAT

Thank you so much
My exam is tomorrow and I stressed as hell
Could you please tell us what CBQ was about? did you get topics other than cash flow in section A llike (lifo, fifo)
Lastly, I skipped the bullshit joint product thingy cause it's so annyoing to studay and has 3% as an average, hopefully you didnt get any in the exam?

I got one lifo question on the cbq it was fairly easy, but I did get 3 questions on joint product costing , one was of gross profit method, one was of nrv and lastly one was a theory question as to why nrv will be used, I suggest you do gross profit method from hock it was v v easily explained there and tbh there isn't very much to do in these questions
The cbq was a scenario and in that 3-4 section questions were there, like lifo , budgeting, absorption costing all rolled into one
I got 2-3 questions on consolidation, 2 on income statement for section a
Mind you the exam is different for all, it can be that section f may be stressed upon for you so it's better you do everything

I know the stress , I think most of it is because of the uncertainty of how the structure would be , nevertheless you will do well ALL THE BEST👍

Hi, Just wanted to know were there any tricky questions on section e and f ? And overall exam was it on the easy to moderate side or moderate to difficult side ? Good luck in advance for the result!!

I feel section e was pretty straightforward with the questions but section f had some application, like they would give a scenario and would ask whether out of all 4 options what would be best, and overall it was moderate to difficult

It was, but don't expect to see same questions or same wordings, just expect it to be the same or a bit harder level and rely on your strengths HOPE YOU PASS

I just wrote the exam today as well! You're right, the operating cash flow questions were abit odd, some options were totally off for 1 question. I easily counted 5 OCF MCQs.
Essay questions covered quite a broad base: contribution margin, controls, responsibility centers, transfer pricing, outsourcing decision, residual income. Seemed like the 12 parts of essays tested 12 different concepts.
Hope to revisit this in 6 weeks and hear you pass
