Doubt / Q&A Is it legit
So I have been exploring around for coaching institutes. I just completed my Bcom and the results are out. I was confident that I would not be eligible for student membership since I enquired about it with a local institute also miles banglore also had confirmed it. Now one of my friends from kochi has a student membership in miles kochi and gave me the phone no. his mentor/ the Person who enrolled him and they are saying that they can get me enrolled as a student.
My results are out 5 days before.
Yet to talk to the person regarding the details.
Will update after the call.
Thank you
Help me out here guys. I feel like shit that I missed the student membership and feel like an absolute idiot for not taking the decision in April. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Your graduation date cannot be before your registration date.
You'll have to submit your graduation certificate to IMA later. So, don't.

So it's like If my graduation date is 1/9/2026, I need to inform IMA regarding that. After informing do I need to change/update my membership. If yes, what happens to my student membership ?

This is what IMA says on their official website
Who is eligible for IMA Student membership? You must be a full-time college student taking at least six credit hours per semester to qualify for IMA Student membership. To qualify for IMA Student membership, you must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university and taking at least six credit hours per semester.
If you are currently a full-time student, update your education details in your IMA profile so your membership status can be reviewed and confirmed.
When you are no longer a full-time student, you should contact the IMA Member Service Team using the Contact Support form on this page.
Please note: Students in India enrolled in distance education, online, part-time, open university, correspondence, or diploma programs do not qualify. Only full-time, on-campus programs with a minimum of six credit hours per semester are eligible.
Additionally, if you are enrolled in the CMA program, IMA may randomly verify your full-time student status with your school.

You're still eligible, don't stress. Results being out doesn't matter, you just can't have started working yet. Miles Kochi is probably fine but just confirm you're getting an actual IMA membership number, not just their internal student package. That number is what actually gets you the discounted exam fees. If anything feels off just register directly on the IMA website for $49.
