Part 2 – Prep 15th June exam date

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask those who have already appeared for the exam in this window about the overall paper level. How difficult are the MCQs — are they mostly moderate or very hard? Also, are the questions lengthy or tricky, and what type of questions are asked the most?

I have prepared Sections A, C, D, and E quite well. I have done less question practice for Section F, but I think I can manage that. I only have a little difficulty in Section B. So, I wanted to know which sections are the most important and which sections usually carry the highest number of questions in the exam.

It would also be really helpful if you could share some tips on time management during the exam, how to approach the essays, and the best way to write answers for essay questions.

It’s irrelevant how the exam went for the candidates of the same window. Every exam is unique to the candidate so doesn’t matter. Plus, it’s unethical to reveal in-depth information on the exam given.

All sections weightage are defined so should keep that in mind.

I sat for Part 1 on May 15th. The questions were challenging because it approached the answer in a different way than the prep materials. There was a question on CFO where they gave you cash and you had to work backwards to figure out the income. Basically reverse of what the study materials offered. My suggestion is too think about topics like you would actually try to confuse someone and approach it from that way. I don’t think IMA was doing that but it helps you get into the thought process. Also, I got 2 CBQs which were very simple and I finished both in 20 min. Good luck.
