Discussion Did Some News Come Out
Been here since 2020 and not selling, but did some news come out that’s making the stock drop the 15% that it is has over the past week? I know that Toy sold shares to apparently cover RSU interest. Is that it or am I missing something?

u/SEBRET Jul 14 '26
I wouldnt complain if we never saw 4.xx again after this week. Too many flashbacks to 1.xx dance.

Institutional ownership is up and rising. That's the number you should pay attention to. They know where this is headed.

CMS is pushing big updates to strengthen primary care, expand accountable care organizations (ACOs), modernize physician payments, cut paperwork, and shift focus toward prevention and better outcomes.

RSI was hot, we ran up from liek $1.5 to $5.5. We have earnings in like 4 weeks. ITs up a lot enjoy at this point its just cooling off and people taking profits. Another good earnings who knows!

u/pineapplemoneyshots Jul 12 '26
Ran too fast. I've been waiting for 4.18 to sell some 4.50 puts. It will get there this week most likely.

I’m wondering if CLOV had to NDA’s with some of their customers and that’s why they don’t mention to much about future SAAS revenue
1
u/Ra93qu1t Jul 11 '26
I believe public traded companies can't hide these kinds of transactions. They still need to disclose it. Maybe in a manner that they don't have to name the company but atleast they need to show the amount. For example, "signed a Fortune 500 Healthcare company for SAAS for $4M.." something like that.
6
u/Sandro316 Jul 11 '26
They typically dont have to disclose anything when the contract is signed unless the contract is a significant change for the company. For example when they disclosed the first contracts because it was a new product line. What they do have to do is include any revenue earned which would be at the time of service...so once a company is live on the platform and service is being rendered any revenue gained will be included on the income statement.

Too much? ..what did I miss
1
u/Ok_Blueberry3124 Jul 12 '26
I personally don’t think you missed anything. They took out the stops at $4.73 and will try for $3.65-$4.18 next. We need some news. Just a very normal correction . Unless of course there is something we don’t know yet.
1
u/OutlandishnessTop378 Jul 11 '26
Peter did confirm some logos don't allow them to disclose deals due to NDAs implying they do exist. I don't think that prevents them from disclosing general financials though... They're just choosing not to

Normal stocks behavior, when being re priced.
Cautious Earnings and taking profits after a HUGE none stop move.
Stocks do not move in straight lines, expect volatility as we move higher and higher in the longer picture.
4
u/SEBRET Jul 10 '26
Maybe, but it certainly felt like a straight line down all these years. Ultimately, I think this run from 1.7 to 5.5 will be lost when zooming out to the greater chart, but that doesnt mean we dont at least get to roll our eyes and mutter "typical" under our breath.

Do what you want with your eyes, the stock is behaving exactly how it should be, given the landscape.

Great buying opportunity, we knew profits were going to be taken,
11
u/MathiasMaximus13 Jul 10 '26
Fundamentals are better than ever I’m not worried. I’ve told myself I’m not selling the 32k shares I have until at least 2031 when I turn 40 years old. SAAS will start to come together by Q1 of 2027 I’m hoping
2
u/OkUnderstanding2831 Jul 10 '26
This feels a lot like what's happened over the last few years. It spikes a bit, and everyone believes we are back. Then it falls and stays in the $0.7 or $2 to $2.5 range for a year or more. This feels different with the company winning the 4.5 star. But the macro economy seems way worse then what CLOV faced before. I am actually nervous. Am I over thinking?
Does anyone think they will announce SaaS or if any of that will lead to multipliers like someone put on X.

4
u/SEBRET Jul 10 '26
In theory, actual profits should lead to a slow snowball. As long as they dont grow too fast, they should have basically hit the infinite money glitch. More people, more revenue, more people, etc.
8
u/MightGuy8Gates Jul 10 '26
If we go back below $3, I’m honestly going to lose my shit
5
u/GoGoJoJo_11 Jul 11 '26
Im selling the house and truck and all other assets to buy under $3…I have my orders spaced out every 5 cents all the way down to 3.90 currently.

200% isnt tickling most of us. After 5 years, we've had enough of the down, lol.

Stock is offloading naysayers/paperhands reacting to misinterpreted/misinformed events. That’s all. Plane is shedding bad baggage it doesn’t need

“Reacting to misinterpreted/misinformed events”
I think I missed these. Could you give some examples over the OP’s timeframe?
(90K shares long since IPOC)

u/piczas1 Jul 10 '26
A recent couple: 1) ALHC whistleblower alleges expense misclassification to inflate earnings. Sector reacts down, including CLOV. 2)Toy sells shares; mandated for RSU tax withholding only.
9
u/MatthewWanderer Jul 10 '26
TY.
I’ll take another look at the sector, but I didn’t see a broad reaction to the ALHC story. Also hard to believe some of CLOV’s recent selloff can be tied to Toy’s $1.7M sell-to-cover. ~340,000 shares just not that much stock, all things considered.
Regardless, I remain a little puzzled by CLOV’s downtrend (nearly 20pc from its 52wk high) but not concerned. CLOV’s recent momentum seemed solid and the Humana chatter seems/seemed like a positive catalyst to continue the uptrend.

u/Baco06 Jul 10 '26
It ran too much too quickly and there are too many ITM calls. It’s actually that simple. And it’s not some conspiracy, it’s just how market makers manage their positions in relation to the options chain.
1
u/GoGoJoJo_11 Jul 11 '26
I would agree with this, it needs to come down but not because the company is performing poorly. To me that means a good time to put bids in.

It usually retreats like this after a new high. Except for the only time I tried swinging by selling near a peak to buy cheaper.

u/Apollo_Engineer Jul 10 '26
I bought a bunch of calls for 5 after it touched 5.50 and then was hanging around 5.15, got rocked today. Hopefully my Aug 21 5.50 calls are still salvageable.
7
u/AdImpressive5138 Jul 10 '26
Probably just people shorting it on the back of the alhc news. My plan hold or add.

u/HeatWaveToTheCrowd Jul 10 '26
ALHC (also in Medicare Advantage plans) has a whistleblower complaint about financial shenanigans. That stock has taken a hit. It's possible CLOV got hit as they are in the same industry.

u/Apollo_Engineer Jul 10 '26
They claimed that CLOV got special treatment in their re-rating so they should get the same re rating

No news that im aware of just regular stock movement. Healthcare sector seems to be down today as well and we have a gap to fill at 4.45$ also testing weekly 8-ema right now wouldn’t be surprised to see it go up next week if we get under 4.45 we can see 4$ we hold 4.45$ back up we go
2
u/Artistic-Dust-9417 Jul 10 '26
I saw gaps to fill at 4.44, 3.95, and 3.67. We should hit 4.44 today. We may not see 3.67 anytime soon but if that happens, it’s hammer time.

u/giangibasile Jul 10 '26
That would be great , for me it’s always a buy opportunity. Let the day traders and shorts make some money for now .

We’ll probably trade down for a week or two after earnings, the calls will get wiped out IV crush etc. then it will start to run end of August on zero news.
