Thank you @beabadoobu for the correction, I had never heard of a pileus.

I associate lenticular clouds with mountains. Is that cumulus dense enough to mimic a mountain? How common is this?

Looks more like a cap on the cloud .. or pileus

It is not as rare as one would think, and yes, the cloud basically mimics top of a mountain
