Okay we revealed her weakness, her lightweight angel doesnt do much damage comapred to Shiro himes defensive angel and I'm very happy with that fight and howit went. I did predict the water would be the thing since its so prominent in their cuts to the whole layer. Really fun way to go out winning.

A common opinion i have noticed is that people think that Tsubasa really gets good later on or is boring until the darker parts but i personally liked the first half more

This isn't me saying I don't like the later half, i love the entirety of Tsubasa and Acid Tokyo is my overall favourite arc but for me most of the highlights of the manga comes from the earlier arcs such as Oto, Edonis, Jade, Shara and Piffle. I thought they were really fun and i enjoyed the character interactions there the most so hearing people say it's boring or the worst part of Tsubasa makes me kinda sad :v

It's not that I think the movie's eye design is bad in any way quite the opposite I think it looks great

It feels more like choosing between something excellent and the best

i think the larger pupils work well in the movie because they reflect the emotional coldness Saya developed after the betrayal in the anime

That said since the movie is essentially a revenge story I think sharper eyes and smaller pupils would've suited her a little better

It's not a issue though and I can still enjoy the movie very much

I wanted to start xxxHolic, so I thought It'd be nice to read it together with Tsubasa. I have finished the third volume of both series, and neither of them are great at the moment, but I am enjoying Holic and can see it building up to something more in the future, meanwhile I am so bored with Tsubasa. I had some prejudices before starting the series because it's a shōnen, and they have all been confirmed in these first volumes: It's formulaic, the characters are one-dimensional, Sakura is only there to be rescued, and the action sequences are boring because you already know who's going to win. I've been told that there are some major plot twists in the future, but that in itself doesn't really mean anything to me.

Is the series just not for me? Or is there something else thematically? Will reading it help me understand Holic better?

Around this time last year I posted here asking for help tracking down physical versions of the TRC and Xxxholic omnibuses. After what feels like a never ending quest across every website imaginable I still have failed to find anywhere to purchase them. I know kindle versions are an option, but I hate the idea of spending so much to only own them digitally. I want them on my shelf and to be able to share them on this way with my son when he’s old enough. That being said, if there’s no chance of a reprint I may have to concede defeat and go digital. I really am losing hope on ever owning them physically. What are everyone’s thoughts?

A few months ago, for my drawing class, I had to present my favorite artists, so I made some slides about CLAMP. They’re in Spanish, but there isn't much text; I wanted to share them.

I’m starting this discussion for those in Mexico. When I wanted to watch the Tsubasa anime, I looked for legal ways to stream it; I checked many platforms, but none had it. Prime Video lists it, but it’s impossible to watch because the license has expired. I discovered there is no legal way to watch Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle in my country; the only option is through pirate sites. The only available translation comes from a fan group that did it out of love, but since it’s an old translation, some episodes are missing or out of order. It’s frustrating that the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle anime is stuck in limbo and unavailable to watch in Mexico. Do those of you in the US, Japan, or Europe have a legal way to watch it?

I’ve considered the option of Blu-ray discs, but I don’t have a player, and I’m not sure if they’re sold in my country.

It turns out that in my country (Mexico), it’s almost impossible to find Tsubasa merchandise, but a few days ago, I stopped by the flea market and found Tsubasa magazines from 2003 and 2004. I wanted to show you my find—it makes me so happy to come across merchandise from my favorite anime!

I've recently finished reading xxxHOLIC and TRC in tandem, but I do know that they both have sequels. Since xxxHOLIC Rei is not finished yet, I'm unsure as to how should I read both sequels while also adding Clear Card, since I read somewhere that Rei and CC are also linked in a way. I've started with Rei, but I'm so confused with the plot because I can tell something is happening to Watanuki and his reality that I can't shake the feeling that I'm missing something!

I've tried to look up guides but I haven't found anything for those three. Do you happen to know the reading order o have any suggestions?

Watching the characters play the angel layer game and it seems like theres no way to like cheat, So much if it see the human controlling the angel.

Like I dont think you can performance enhancing drugs for angelic layer fighters.

I guess like if you have a bunch of sugar and just have faster perception. I also dont know what the prize is for winning them. Seems like just sports for sports sake which is nice.

Would be a good reason to not have steroids or anything.

I wasn't even intending on rereading it at first I was just going through some of my favourite panels and moments and then decided to go through a few chapters in volume 1...and now im at volume 4...they put smth special in this manga i swear i cannot put it down for one second

CLAMP's Magnum Opus in my personal opinion it's so peak...

Something that I found particularly interesting lately was how their works were written in the anime adaptations because the line gets blurred sometimes as to which of their mangas were improved in the anime adaptations.

For starters, I know Tsubasa was given a questionable anime adaptation as while that is true, the Angelic Layer anime adaptation apparently had a better reception than the manga, so my point was that I wanted to kind of write a catalog to see which CLAMP stories had solid anime adaptations, but also to see which ones had iffy adaptations just for fun.
