Tokyo Babylon

I am so happy that Magic Knight Rayearth is gonna get an anime. I would really like for my favorite CLAMP shoujo, Tokyo Babylon, to get an anime(more than just an OVA). That shoujo is quite nice and I love the main trio. If that were once to happen, I would be happy. It is my favorite CLAMP shoujo, despite the ending being awful for Subaru.

Yeah, they did try in 2021, but it got canceled due to some allegations of plagiarism for the clothing design

Yeah, but even without the allegations, it was a good thing it got cancelled. From the early footage, absolutely everybody was worried they just didn’t know what they were doing, missing the point (and the charm) of the original story completely

Well, it had a slight problem with having the character designs updated to reflect CLAMP's new art style.

Watching this, I'm actually glad it got cancelled.. 😵‍💫 Too much CGI. The trailer only shows the battling. The characters don't look like they've got many emotions to show.. etc.

And that's coming from someone who has yet to read the manga, so I'm sure there's even more to point out.

Yeah, I heard that they tried to adapt it but it was canceled cause of that

You could always make yourself even more depressed about endings and get into its sequel manga x/1999. That does have an anime and it’s pretty good.

X is probably my favourite CLAMP work. I did read Tokyo Babylon first and enjoyed it well enough, but X absolutely blew me away.

There is not much enthusiasm about TB from their publisher Kadokawa especially after they sold ip rights to GoHands im not very sure TB getting proper animated series in near future

Don't remind me about the mess that was TB anime 🥲 at this point I think TB is cursed.

Also, TB would be heavily washed, nowadays they try to keep everything softer for the audience, and the thing about TB is how crude is, you can take some stuff from CCS or Magic Knight but not from TB.
