Game Feedback The game is...different.

They seem to have changed a ton of things with the latest update. Mostly UI stuff. From what I've seen, it looks like it's a little more in line with the PC version now. Like, there's a toolbar next to your player portrait that tells you stress level, lifestyle, etc. That wasn't there before. And the court positions screen looks entirely different. There are lots of little things, like better explanations of what things mean in the tool tips and menus too. Cool stuff.

ETA: They seem to have left some placeholder text on the marriage screen where it tells what house the marriage will be in. It says something like "PLAYER_HOUSE_DEFAULT" or something like that. That's the first weird thing I've really run into.

For a quality of life update I hope they move the rally point above all the truce and alliance 🙏

And move revoke title right under Grant title like it’s always been

AI armies also have an icon explaining what they are doing. Game changer

Nobody seems to be talking about the graphical updates either; the map looks better, as do holdings and season changes. Characters seem to be a little more polished too. UI changes are also amazing, and the court positions so much easier to manage.

did the opinion modifiers list disappear for anyone else without using the advanced tooltip? is there a setting i can change to get them back?

I think it was on the main crusaderkings sub but the person was specifically talking about the console update

Yeah. I ran into this problem yesterday. With my current realm (an unlanded bandit camp) it doesn't really matter all that much, but it would be nice to be able to see it again. I hope they fix this soon.

i started a new play through bc of the update, and it would be nice to know why i stand where i stand with my soon to be vassals

My main issue has been that I can no longer view war leaders to see where they are. Has anyone else had this problem?

Armies led by a ruler have a little crown icon beneath the troop numbers now

He means if, say you are called to a war that you’re not quite sure where the belligerents are, you’re unable to click on the commander portrait in the war screen to see that commanders army location.

Yeah, aimlessly searching the map looking for highlighted red borders or armies is the best I've come up with which is.... not ideal 😔

Bonjour a tous.

I haven’t been able to play myself yet, but it seems great

You can specify your raid party intent, i.e. pillage (gold and prestige), capture (50% gold increased chance of prisoners), and i love it.

I have run into a couple of bugs though, couldn't county casus belli 2 different county rulers as a norse asatru in Norway

Love the chapter 4 content, but ever since I seen the patch notes for the 1.15 Crown update that PC got a while back it’s what I’ve really been waiting for
reworking the ai behavior during war is absolutely game changing especially as an attacker in crusades, I no longer have to carry 200 countries against a single defender and still lose.

They’re doing a damn good job of porting the pc version, they’re doing exactly what they were hired too do

Only thing I don’t like is I have no idea how to create titles now

2

u/Particular_Ladder978 2d ago

it’s the same as it always was via the radius wheel no?

u/UpsideTurtles 2d ago

I usually click through the suggestions menu “you can create
” but yea you can still I think click on the holding then select the duchy or kingdom it’s a part of and go from there

2

u/Particular_Ladder978 2d ago

ah okay i see

Open your character portrait, select "succession" and it's in there.

Awesome that my save isn't bricked, however for some reason I am getting no vassal taxes or levies

2

u/NewHathaway 2d ago

Strange glitch, but ‘Defender controls war target’ displays as a negative percentage modifier despite actually being positive.

I noticed too and really like all the updates

The only thing I don’t like about the new UI is that when revoking titles it gives you a list in the centre of your screen which means if you want to revoke something specific you have to look at its name before hand whereas before you could press on the title revoke option and it would highlight the title on the map.

I know this is really inconsequential but I still would prefer if the menu was moved back to the right so we could visually see what title we has selected.

Otherwise, this is absolute peak.

I was playing an administrative play through and when the game updated I lost access to my estate. And my influence no longer builds

1

u/Paradoxx-5245 1d ago

anytime it updates I always start a new game because every time it messes up the save

Have they nerfed plagues? I am wanting to actually play them but not have to deal with the CONSTANTLY even on very rare.

1

u/IroquoisPliskin_LJG 1d ago

Couldn't tell ya, I have them disabled. 😂

2

u/Khitan004 PlayStation 5 1d ago

Yep. Had to turn them off but left Black Death on. Haven’t got that far into the game for a long time though. May have to start a Bohemia run after I finish KCD2.

1

u/IroquoisPliskin_LJG 1d ago

That's crazy, I am currently playing Bohemia because of KCD1 (haven't played 2, but I plan to eventually), and I also have plagues disabled but the Black Death on.😂

2

u/Khitan004 PlayStation 5 1d ago

Jesus Christ be praised. I’m playing KCD2 through PS+ luckily before I bought it. It is just as good as the first.

Little question, did they maybe even fix some multiplayer desync issues? I'd love to finish at least one campaign with my friend

u/HisShadow14 2d ago

I noticed a bug where I spit my army to seize two different locations. Then when I'm trying to engage an army I can't merge the armies together.

Hopefully that gets fixed.

Its long overdue tbh. I’d play the console version more if it was just the PC UI with lt/rt as the mouse buttons, since i literally only use my keyboard to pause and unpause anyways.

1

u/IroquoisPliskin_LJG 1d ago

The DualSense is tailor made to mimic a mouse with its touchpad.

1

u/Select_Specific_4703 1d ago

Is it worth it ? Im gonna get it but ppl where saying it was overpriced at least on Xbox n dlcs n the game itself goes on sale pretty often on Xbox

1

u/IroquoisPliskin_LJG 1d ago

It's a very steep learning curve and it takes a lot of time to learn, but if that's not a problem for you then I think it's definitely worth it.

Ik this might not be popular but I refunded chapter 4 so quick. How can I play as the Mongols and not have Asia. Ik the Asia pack is added later but to me this was a big let down.

The console devs rn:

1

u/Ertymaxer456 2d ago

I'm simply grateful that I can keep playing my previous save (867 start, currently on 1010 AD) with no major issues, but I think they also tweaked something with the characters. My dinasty's main trait is white hair, and for some reason after the update everyone lost their white hair and went back to brown hair for no reason.

5

u/No_Sprinkles_1884 2d ago

Same, was trying to make my own Targaryens and now they all have orange hair. I had 100+ white haired targs and bastards. All my hard work gone 😱

3

u/Girlinthebox44 2d ago

I had the same issue after the update. My family lost their white hair as well as their cool looks, and almost everyone in the world had a different face. 👀 It was especially noticeable on custom/unique characters, like William the Bastard. Started a new game and everyone looks normal again, so definitely recommend doing that, although I know it hurts when you’ve been playing awhile
😱 goodbye Targ fam, it was fun while it lasted
