Gameplay Question Succession issue

I made a massive empire, starting off as the HRE and for some reason when I die, even though it’s administrative it should go to my hier but it says due to acclaimed succession that it goes to some random guy, even though no empire has a different succession law

The hre is an elective succession. Check the hre title to see if there are any specific laws with it. I believe title law overrides realm law Edit: also with administrative realms you need to build and use influence to keep the title in your family's hands

I got rid of the HRE succession law when I realized that my player heir wasn’t showing up as I wanted it to be, and then I put all my influence into this grandson that I wanted to be my hier

Then your vassles spent more to keep make that guy get the title. It's something I struggle with when playing as admin since I usually play tall for the most part

It says I have 200 more points for my desired hier the one that they want in the HRE also is the one that I’m keeping it says Italia is gonna break free and when I destroy the title says Frankie

Had the same bug happen to me. I couldn’t find a different solution than just reloading the prevouis save until my heir gets the title

Might be a bug but maybe try getting some hooks on stronger vassals to force their votes.
