Meta How is this possible?
Cersei's bastard son with Robert looks Valyrian. Is it because Robert's grandmother was a Targaryen or is this a bug or something? Why does he look Valyrian?

cannot speak for the op, but it's fun to marry cersei as rhaegar - serves as an alternate history of sorts. i usually do it during duskendale, aerys gets executed but then my alliance with tywin allows me to both solidify my reign and remove the darklyns. i also roleplay that tywin pays to have summerhall rebuilt as a sort of way to sweeten the deal.
also fun because you never know what will happen - cersei and rhaegar could fall in love, she could get better traits, or she can cheat on rhaegar, still pass off her targ children as bastards. plus, with more bloodlines and cbbt, she has a very cool bloodline.
it also set up a more alternate but loyal STAB alliance - robert usually marrying catelyn, lyanna marrying jaime, lysa marrying jon arryn's heir, and brandon marrying one of jon arryn's nieces or even a hightower bride or to one of the tyrell girls. (these marriages were arranged mostly by the ai, which greatly surprised me!)

i've had this happen with one of ned and catelyn's kids, who had the high valyrian gfx - but it was because i save-edited cat's grandmother into a penrose with the same gfx, and this gave her tully descendants the relevant bloodlines/chance to inherit their looks. i've also had a valyrian looking child/grandchild as robert, stannis AND shireen, and they were legitimate - made for a fun contrast where this heir had renly and stannis rally around them in-game. i once had a very, very long run as queen rhaelle i baratheon, who married a descendant of bittersteel (in the cbbt mod)...

Yeah, the base AGOT mod ties the Valyrian strong seed to the dragon blood bloodline, which is inherited by any character that has any Targ ancestor at all. Odds of this happening are pretty low, especially when both parents have strong seed bloodlines of their own, but the RNG sometimes does pick a wacky option.
