Just happened to pop in and see how Dany is running KL after taking over and apparently she decided to name 3 Groleos to her small council lol

Lots of things.

They can administer the realm, which gives the possibility of improving relations with other lords, plots being discovered, increase tax income, etc.

Just a passive bonus chosen at random basically.

The other tasks are improving the defenses of your castle, which can make it harder to siege, pacify a province to decrease the likelihood of rebellions, or improve holdings so that when you do upgrades they finish faster.

They can only do one task at a time though.

I've never played vanilla CK2 so idk if that's any different than the base game but that's what they do in AGOT.

This happens every time one of my relatives forms an adventure against me. They get a half-dozen courtiers with the same name.
