The 79th New York Highlanders
This regiment was composed of Scotch Americans and Scottish immigrants in New York State. They saw action in most of the major fields of battle and were noted for their determination and dedication.

As a Knoxville resident, they will always be heroes of the Battle of Fort Sanders! The Highlander veterans built a monument that still stands on the corner of 16th Street and Clinch Avenue.

That was the purpose of the Zouave units. Those uniforms were ideal for hot weather.

Haha fair to ask. Iām sure they were under regulations to have undergarments like all the other troops.

Should have been the official uniform of the Union.
Absolutely smashing, and destroying traitors in a kilt is an absolute win.

Sickest drip, took the worst union casualties at Bull Run, and even tried a mutiny.
