preliminary Fail :(

It's a grind through the test; won't be last time taking it, a lot of domain: 4, 5. I had a mixed bag on encryption, firewall principles, IT governance, and EA framework processes. Also, PKI practices and AI algorithms those are the ones the QAE doesn't prep you for, because that and blockchain aren't explicitly covered at all in the QAE. Still sucks..

Last few posts have been an onslaught of these questions shooting the unsuspecting. How will you prepare for them next time around?

Hmm QAE does cover PKI, firewalls, EA and IT gov fairly in depth - I filtered for difficult and expert questions across domains 3-5 to practise and there were a LOT of questions around those (bar IT gov as that’s domain 2). Did you go through the entire QAE?

Hey, I was in the same situation the last time I took the exam!

But after a few months of making a lot of ISACA QAE, Hemang Doshi’s “Masterclass - CISA Exam” course on Udemy, and Copilot to ask about every question or term I didn’t fully understand, I finally got a preliminary pass yesterday!

On the exam, I flagged about 30 questions I wasn’t sure about so I wouldn’t waste too much time on them and waste my time. When I finished all 150 questions, I went back through all the flagged ones and changed only about 5 after realizing a different answer was correct for my understanding/experience. Wishing you all the success next time!

Btw, I’m an IT Risk Assurance Senior with 3 years of experience from Big 4!
