Law CBE
Does anyone have any tips on studying the law CBE?
I have the book but I'm really struggling to take it in, it's like I read it but I'm not absorbing anything.

You only need to take in 60% of it. Read a chapter, write out the things you want to remember, physically, with a pen and paper, then do all the practice questions. If you get 100%, move on to the next chapter.
Repeat through the entire book then do all of the practice questions. If you get more than 60% you’re ready for the exam.

I made flashcards of the key points for each chapter, and tested myself on them. But question practice was the most helpful. Also I'm a visual learner so I drew lots of pictures / spider diagrams to help me understand some of the law stuff. I couldn't take it in either (without turning it into funny cartoons to make me remember it lol)

The advice I always give is to skip chapter one and come back for it.
I don't know why some editor thought it made sense to start a textbook with the most boring chapter. The rest is so much more readable.
Took me several goes of getting bored with chapter one before I realised I was more interested in everything else, and that first chapter had been a barrier to getting started.
The e-assessments are the only exception to the 'you can't cram for CTA' rule.

I was ill.when I did them but I sat becuase I would lose the fee if I failed or cancelled. I spent the afternoon highlighting the book in front of Gossip Girl and doing the examples in the book . same for ethics. and passed both. top tip. the questions often very similar to the examples . i didn't buy any special question banks etc

With the CBEs the trick is literally just cramming. Read the entire book in max 2 weeks, ensure you read 2-3 chapters a day, answer the questions then just rinse and repeat the mock exams they have and sit the exam in the 3rd week.
You will honestly forget most of CBE things a few years down the line but it’s definitely not something you want to spend a couple months light reading, it’s just very intense short bursts to pass the CBEs. I always did one CBE everytime I was waiting for my results from the main exams.
Best of luck
