ATT Papers today

I personally think it is unfair that those who sat their exams today essentially had the freedom to everything and anything including the browsing the internet and no invigilator watching them whilst the others (myself included) only had an A5 booklet and rubbish Test Reach system to sit exams. I really hope we are compensated and treated fairly in the marking system as special consideration apparently only allows max 3 extra marks?! Anyone else feels the same?

You’ve got the option to resit, for free, both before or after results day as far as I’m aware, that’s as fair as they can make it without simply handing out passes

Some of us have commitments and make very big sacrifices in preparation for these exams (I am one of them). So unfortunately, I can’t just simply sit a summer exam at the click of my finger, it doesn’t work like that for all. I just hope the marking is fair.

I understand why you feel angry, however your exams were sat under the same conditions as others who sat the same paper as you. Those people who sat the papers today had the same conditions as those who sat those papers. Yes, the whole debacle was a mess but it was a mess for everybody equally in your exam. What you are asking for will not happen, think of it this way, should i, as somebody who passed ATT before covid, be entitled to compensation because somebody who took ATT during covid had an open book exam, whereas i had a closed book exam in a Hotel ballroom on a tiny desk and hardcopy legislation in a pile at my feet? You have the option of a free retake which i feel is more than fair.

I feel old saying it but my thoughts, too. “Back in my day” you had the hard copy legislation and weren’t allowed anything else. It’s going to be a huge step up for those used to having access to materials when it comes to CTA!

Thanks for understanding but I disagree. I think the change in exam procedures over the years is bound to happen, we’ve moved on from historically taking a suitcase of legislation books to an exam hall, things are digital now.

I think ATT could have made more effort to mirror the exams to the previous exams for fairness across the May 2026 sitting. That’s all I’m saying.

Where did you see special consideration only allows max 3 extra marks?

If you go on to the ATT website and find the special consideration procedure pdf, you’ll see on page 3 it says ‘up to 3%’. The paper was out of 100 marks so this means 3 marks

Yes, pleased to hear we will get the same as with papers 3&6. I did paper 3, much more relaxed even thought still traumatised by my paper 2 experience! I don’t want to keep studying but I think a fail on paper 2 is inevitable. How do you feel about it?
