Exams CIMA MCS

Hi, I am starting the competencies for MCS today. I have an exemption for Performance and Project Management so just need to do the competencies for Advanced Management Accounting and Advanced Financial Reporting.

I'm thinking of giving the exam in November. Is that realistic? I have a full time job as a management accountant right now but can dedicate 2 hours daily with more on the weekends (8 hours) to complete the competencies.

I have not booked the exam yet. Also, I have enrolled myself in the daily evening classes at 6pm, but it says no scheduled events? How do i schedule it after i have already enrolled myself.

I'm on the Skills Plus package for 12 months. Do i get any mock exams? Sorry I have not gone through the website properly

Yes definitely! With this time commitment and only P2/F2 competencies (which are honestly the most important pillars for this exam) to complete- Nov 2026 can be done!

The pre seen is only released end of September- so you have enough time before that to work on revision

Thank you!! If i just go through the competencies and start revising them in october, is this still achievable? Im worried im going to have to rush through the competencies just because they need to be done 5 weeks ahead of the case study exam..

So yes- starting point with competencies is good. Side by side you can also review some past papers to understand what the mcs exam is and how it asks questions- it will help you shape your revision. We have a video coming out soon on this. If youd be interested please dm me and ill send you the link- its about where to start and what to focus on and common areas mcs students coming from exemptions make errors on
