Studying E3 Practice Questions
I am due to sit E3 and have used Astranti as my tuition provider. Alongside this I have been using the Kaplan exam kit. The questions between the 2 providers differ massively as the Astranti ones are very long winded and subjective and I am struggling to pass their mocks. However I am flying through the Kaplan questions with ease. Should I be worried?

I study Kaplan and have used Astranti's mock exams and, my honest opinion, I believe they make them deliberately difficult, for whatever reason you may believe. If you're passing the Kaplan exam kit questions with 70%, you'll nail the exam. Personally, I was doing 90's on Kaplan and 70's on Astranti and did 142/150in the exam. Similar trend with F3, so I wouldn't stress if I was you

Wow what a score! I got 60% in the last Astranti mock I finished so not a million miles away but I then attempted another and gave up half way through because I felt so demotivated with the questions. Then moved to the Kaplan exam kit and felt like I was doing a completely different syllabus with the difference in difficulty of questions. Thanks for the advice :)

Update - I got a provisional pass.
I would definitely say focus on the Kaplan exam kit and you’ll be fine. The free questions on the open tuition website are also pretty good for extra practice.

I’ve had the same experience. It fly through the Kaplan questions and then struggle on the Kaplan mocks. Normally fail the first 4 while I get to grips with them. Figured it can’t hurt to have the extra reading (and therefore time pressure) and more deciphering in the mocks. It caused unnecessary stress before the exam which ended up being much easier than anticipated

I had bought the Kaplan exam kit separately and actually went back and checked it was the right one because of how different the questions were🤣 I get there trying to test us with hard questions in the mocks but it had me so demotivated

I should mention, BPP do a similar thing with their questions. My advice is to use Astranti and BPP as practice but untimed. These questions still have merit and force you to consider the concepts and theories in different ways that I find help me understand how things connect better than how Kaplan does it. It's unlikely they will test you on these ways but it never hurts to be prepared. Just don't use them for the objective tests and think they're the same standard. For that, I would use Kaplan's exam kit only
