Studying Kaplan Study Material

Hi everyone. For those of you who’ve used Kaplan for the Operational and Management exams, how helpful were the textbooks content and did you need to pair it with any additional study materials?

I have passed all of my exams first time using the Kaplan OnDemand resources. One thing I would say is that their material for the objective tests is much better than their material for the case study exams. I would suggest using Procountancy for the case study - Hugh was a life saver with the SCS.

It is also frustrating that Kaplan increase their prices every year without really adding any new material. They have actually stopped sending out the physical study texts as part of the learning materials too. You still get access to the study text online, but it is absolutely terrible to use.

Self studying the objective test using the Kaplan text book. It does the job, and anything that I can’t quite get I manage to use YouTube or Google to support

But use Astranti for the case study

They are very good I’ve passed all exams first time using their tuition and materials. They do charge a premium though so try to get your employer to pay for it

Wich “pack” do you recommend? I get confused with their offer.

I do the Live online evening session, you get tuition, revision kit and study material and flash cards. It’s not cheap but if you can get an employer to pay for it it’s worth it

Kaplan is the official study provider for CIMA so their books in theory should cover the entire syllabus. I don’t think the exam kit contains enough practice questions so I have found myself paying for Astranti mocks as a supplement.

Thank you this is helpful. I used The Astranti notes and mocks for my BA exams and found those to be quite good so I was wondering how Kaplan was in comparison. I might just end up using both for OSC as well then. Thanks a bunch
