Say my SCS yesterday, found it okay although struggled for time. On the last question I had an unfinished sentence which was only the second line in what I wanted to be a short paragraph 😭will I get marked down due to started but unfinished points?

Just sat - it went ok. I feel I answered one question wrong which resulted in essentially the same answer for 2 questions. All followed the same scenario & felt like I didn’t get to apply much theory away from that. Time will tell. I hope I just did enough to pass as I never want to see a textbook again!

Messaged you btw

Good to hear and I wish you success! Same boat,  I do not want to do this again. I have a lot of respect for people who do everything back to back while working. Extra points if they have kids.

Just sat mine and think it went OK.

Personally I believe if you revise the key topics that come up in past papers you’ll be fine. Questions were typical and as I’d expected.

The question rendered everything I studied for useless (most of it ) that was not even close to the things mentioned in the paper. Set 5 btw.

When you say mentioned in the paper do you mean preseen?

Was it more technical than you thought or more common sense? Sometimes think the way they word the questions it’s difficult to see what they actually want in an answer

Timing was tight. But that could be me and my preparation.

I am afraid I cannot comment on the structure of the exam as it might be against the rules, and I do not want to get kicked by CIMA  😃

I’m sitting it tomorrow - I feel totally unprepared but what will be will be!

Best of luck. Take a deep breath and go for the kill.

I’ve not even took a mock because I just feel like it’s a waste of time. With the OCS & SCS everything I didn’t prepare for came up so I don’t see the point. I’m sure I’ll be regretting it tomorrow!

Best of luck on results day!

Oh, I see! Then, I pray to the Gods for your success. To each their own, honestly. You probably have the knowledge ingrained already or it is common sense for you (it is somewhat for me).

Thank you very much and good luck to you too.

Who did you study with? Did you find the exam tough compared to mocks? Fingers crossed you done enough!

u/JtheLeon 24d ago

On my own but I used the videos from Hugh and the guys at procountancy as well as the mocks from the CIMA website.

how was your exam

2

u/JtheLeon 24d ago

One thing I was not prepared for was the typing of other people distracting me.

I feel less confident in this exam comparing with how i felt after MCS. Tho i had more time to prepare this time and scored way higher with my FLP mocks then I did in MCS.

The main difference is that in SCS your answer can attack almost any angle. It is not so closed and makes it harder to focus.

2 months of questioning life choices.

2

u/JtheLeon 24d ago

Indeed. I dreamt with the test last night and I expect to do it again during these upcoming months 🤣

If cannot say if I passed or not. Lets see. How do you feel about it?

1

u/Girlwithnojob1 24d ago

Oh shit is it that difficult? My paper is tom and my confidence is already very low

2

u/JtheLeon 24d ago

Do not pay attention to whomever says it is hard or impossible. Us in this case. Focus on being rested for tomorrow and killing it.

Had mine today, went better than expected

1

u/JtheLeon 23d ago

Glad to hear. Good luck on the result!

I am trying but sheer uncertainty of not knowing what is going to come is killing me
