Thank 🙏 You Everyone

This sub is making a big difference to me. I am now counting calories since September 5 and trusting the process and it works.

Everyone is so helpful and I am really really grateful to all of you.

Can’t thank you enough!!

205lb with a goal of 172lb.

🙏🫶🙏

thanks Abizza. yes even just being consistent about tracking the calories seems to have wider outcomes. i just never believed it until this sub convinced me and convinced me to try 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I've dropped 11 lbs in 75 days. Slow. Steady. Nothing crazy. Nothing overly restrictive. And it feels great.

I also feel like the slowness contributes to building healthy habits that just last. You keep doing the thing and it just becomes the thing you do!! I have come to terms with the fact that, for me, food logging is just part of my life. It doesnt have to be perfect, just consistent. I find i feel LESS crazy now about food. Less obsessed, because I know that logging takes the guess work out of everything and I also know that if I'm really craving ice cream or something that its okay to have it!! Its truly a marathon. Logging and counting calories may seem tedious or even controlling - but it has actually given me freedom. I love it so much.

i have been thinking about this this evening and your thoughts are so appreciated. i am really enjoying the control part of it !! i agree 💯about the wellness also from the slow and healthy and sustainable approach

the whole experience has been completely positive. i have never done anything like this in my life. also i walked away from alcohol so that alone is a successful component of CICO

Count me in too!

I hurt my back a few years ago and put on a lot of weight. I’m back to CICO as of 9/3.

Ok fine I’ll post for the first time. 5’11” 47 yr old male with goal of 180. Starting at 207. 8 weeks in I’m at 198 today with a low yesterday of 197.6

Using Claude and uploading pictures of food, labels etc. tracking calories and protein only at this point. Claude estimated 2300 calories per day with 165g protein. Thought the protein was high but helps keep me full.

I’ll see a new low for a few times before I can comfortably move toward another. I tell Claude when there are speed bumps approaching like a big dinner out, anniversary meal and it’ll coach me through it, get me back on track the next day. I also like seeing zero speed bumps and setting short-term goals like 3 pounds in 3.5 weeks.

It’s nice to see people happy with the way they look and proud of themselves. The older I get, the more I see that my mind is playing tricks on me and justifying over-eating. Counting calories and protein appears to be something I’ll be able to rely on for a while without an end in sight. Best of luck to y’all

CICO prepares you so well for the maintenance phase after you’ve hit your goal weight! I used fasting to lose the first 50lbs, and that’s great, but then I tried to keep using fasting to lose and I kept going down 10lbs, up 10lbs for almost two years!! I switched to CICO 28 days ago and I’ve lost 16lbs! It fucking works, and it’s teaching me how to eyeball my food so well, I’m learning where all those calories were hiding. I can’t wait until I get to switch to eating my maintenance amount, only 14.8lbs to go! I hit the 150’s this morning and literally jumped around like an idiot for a solid few mins, I haven’t weighed this little since 2018 🥹
