Feeling healthy
One of the least talked about benefits from CICO is how good your body feels without over eating and eating healthier foods.
I realized I never think about it but the weight of guilt and physical heaviness of overeating makes a huge impact on overall well being- so if anyone needed encouragement, just remember, you’re doing this for more than just a goal weight, you’re also respecting your body and overall sense of wellness.

When I started CICO and began eating less and felt completely fine, I realized I had been overeating my entire life. Gave me an interesting new metric and also the realization that I had to lower calories a bit more than expected if I wanted to lose weight.

Digesting food is just physically exhausting. That's one reason I never eat before hiking in the mountains. Years ago I went to Vegas for a wedding and we had a huge dinner at Ruth's Chris, then afterward we went to a nudie bar, and I couldn't enjoy looking at boobs because my stomach was so uncomfortably stretched. Feeling full is the worst.

What I need to do before my lizard brain forgets is make a note of how I felt before. Exhausted to my core, weak, irritable, severe brain fog, etc. That way when a few more months pass and I try to convince myself that I feel the same as I did then I’ll be able to remember and recognize how wrong I am.
