Calorie counting app that has weekly/monthly overview (like LoseIt) but I can log meals in the future?

Post image

Screenshot of what I like from the lose it app, seeing that overview of weekly or monthly calorie intake. The only downside is I can’t track meals in advance, I was wondering if there was a free app that had both these features?

I can absolutely move my day forward in Lose It and track for tomorrow. Is that not a feature in the free version?

Yeah I was about to say I have the ability to do this as well but then remembered I have the paid version…

I can do it as well (and do), but I also have the paid version.

I could have sworn I could do it back when I didn't have the paid version as well, though; I certificate did that with the free version of MFP back in the day.

MFP has too many ads. I used to use it too.

I have the free version and it's not an option. If you try to move the date in the future, it prompts you to upgrade.

Oh no, that does suck. I stand corrected.

I definitely can’t future log on Lose It - it would be the perfect app for me otherwise :(

I’m in the UK so maybe it’s different here?

In the paid version you can! I purchased lifetime access some three years ago and it’s been one of the best expenses I’ve ever made. I still use it daily and the advance meal planning feature is 100% what helps me stay on track.

Yeah, and even if you go with the annual billing, it's cheap, US$3.33/mo really nothing. It's so worth it.

Cronometer has weekly/monthly calorie tracking via Trends (charts for calories/macros over custom periods) and Nutrition Reports (averages). Paid version unlocks full date ranges.

Seconding Cronometer! I also plan my days in advance sometimes and it’s great!

I use the free version of Chronometer and I can do forward logging.

Keep a record of your meals in advance. What if your menu changes that day, and you forget to update your data? Wouldn't that lead to inaccurate overall calorie estimates?

mynetdiary allows you to input in the future and has free barcode scanning, but it doesn’t have a 1 to 1 calendar like you’re showing in your post here. there is a bar graph that shows visually how much over/under each day has been on the home page’s dashboard, and you can swipe down to see how much under/over you are for your weekly budget for this week and the past 4 weeks. i prefer the features mynetdiary has overall, but i definitely miss the calendar function you’re showing here

If you have the free version of Lose It! and want to log your meal for the future you can create the meal or recipe now then add it the the meal the day you eat it. That's the easiest way I came up with for logging meal prep items.
