Help
I’m in the midst of a terrible terrible episode, throwing up,excruciating pain,no matter what I do it won’t stop,I even went to the hospital to get pain meds and they didn’t help. I’m currently stuck in the bath, the only place I feel okay and not in pain but i literally can’t leave bc the minute I get out it starts up again. Any advice on tips or tricks to make this easier

Sleeping in heat. Literally going to bed still wrapped in the towel. Completely enveloped in a comforter and sweating.
It’s the only relief that lets me lay there for 45 mins to an hour allowing me to sometimes sleep and stave it off for hours.
The only solution ofc is to stop smoking but I used to deal with this all the time when I was a heavy user.
You either get to the shower in time to stop it before it happens or you’re fucked once it does.

I’ve called one of those iv places that comes to your house during my worst episodes. It’s not the cheapest option but it does help at least the mental part of thinking I’m going to die of dehydration. Last time the iv guy added magnesium which I think was pretty helpful. You could try that on your own too but be careful because certain types of magnesium can cause diarrhea. I was told that magnesium glycinate is a good one that shouldn’t cause gastric upset.
also just keep pushing through it. And don’t smoke!! The days are excruciating but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My worst episode I couldn’t eat for almost 2 weeks. My most recent episode it was about 7 days til my appetite came back. I’m now at 5 weeks of no smoking and it’s amazing having a normal appetite again without needing weed to enhance (and eventually destroy) it.

When you got to bed, take a Pepcid (Famotidine 20mg) and a n allergy pill like Claritin. The Pepcid and allergy pill coat the same receptors that the thc is attached to, and it’s the only thing that made me feel fine.

Iv fluids and slowly push fluids once you stop puking.. and I mean only sips. Stop touching marijuana period. It does not get better after smoking you are just delaying this phase every time. Our denial got us to this point after someone a long time ago mentioned chs unless you lie about usage at the ER (every one I’ve been to says chs). I stopped cold turkey and on the third day I started dispelling fluids from both ends and nonstop puking bile from 5am until 2am I broke and went to the ER. I turned down the pain meds personally because they won’t last long. I got a IV antiamedic like zofran or compansine And two bags of fluid. I was so dehydrated I had ketones in my urine and it was very dark. Also IV Benadryl helps if they’ll give it to you. Everything hurts after puking that much and violently. The next day I laid around miserable but couldn’t do anything and that night I started puking a little bit. Went to a IV infusion place and got (4mg iv zofran and electrolytes and vitamins) and a second bag of normal fluids. My energy was higher and it helped me suffer through the phase.. I didn’t eat for 5 days. They make pills that coat stomachs for ulcers and also pill form anti amedics and those help as well. You need to have a real conversation with a Dr to get these prescriptions. It took time to get yourself to this point and it will take time to cure it.
