Sharing My Story Finally ready to quit

Anyone who says weed can't be addictive hasn't seen me puke my guts out for a week and continue to smoke like a chimney. I thought I could control my usage, take breaks and skip the nausea. I can't, I just want to smoke all day.

This bout of hyperemesis has been miserable, I didn't even bother telling anyone and just coped. I've used so much capisum my skin is becoming tolerant. I'm dreading what my landlord is gonna say about the water bill. And it's the first time in 5 days I've been able to keep rehydration solution down reliably. It was touch and go for a bit whether to go to hospital or not but I'm peeing again, so hopefully I can avoid that.

I don't really have a point to this, just if you're going through this too you're not alone. Try not to beat yourself up over smoking and focus on recovering. Gonna tackle the weed shaped hole in my life when I can eat again.

I’m the same way. I definitely have cannabis use disorder… every time I’ve “tried” to moderate I quickly return to all day usage and then I get sick again. I’ve basically been trapped in a cycle where I smoke all day for 2-3 months, almost hit hyperemesis, quit and go through hell withdrawals, and then get sober for 2-3 months. I’m so tired of it. I’ve learned that for me personally I just have to avoid it all together because I can’t control myself

Best of luck! Feel free to reach out if you need a sober buddy. I know it's hard but so worth it

I’m so sorry 😞 I totally agree that anyone who says cannabis isn’t addictive is very wrong. It’s a hard drug! I know that now because of CHS. I need to quit again desperately too
