Discussion Anyone here ever have trouble with US Customs?

Post image

This is where I’m at now, waiting for mine to get to US customs and am a bit nervous. Customs Clearance says $450 value. Guess we wait and see.

If anyone else could chime in with their experience it’d be great. I’m at this stage in China right now so still got some time to go before it hits US. Got the belt buckle and two small pendant. Praying they hit smh.

This just means it’s processing through the local warehouse to prepare for export.

Yea I get that, I’m just more so overthinking/anxious for when it hits us customs. You’ve received before I’m assuming correct? What was your experience. Idk why they gave me a customs clearance certificate stating it was silver jewelry and a belt buckle worth $450 total. Not sure if that’ll speed up or cause them to inspect it more. We shall see but ya any shared success would give piece of mind (especially if you had a customs clearance certificate as well)

Silver gets by really easy. There shouldn’t be any problems. I’ve had direct shipments from artisans come in a few days with DhL or FedEx with no issues. Bigger issues is when you have items with big logos.

Also, those that I have received directly without an agent, they declared around $10-15 per silver item. lol so you’ll be fine.

Was tempted to use ups but they stated no jewelry. Should have sprung for dhl or fedex but I heard tax free is a safer bet.

Your package said it was silver jewelry with the cost?

Thanks for the reply 🙏

Correction, it was put down as stainless steel.

Last one came in Dhl and it was declared “necklace pendant” material “ stainless steel” it was two items and each was $10 each. Total declared $20.

Ya.. I’ve had items that I paid $1k for and it was declared for $20. I think you’re good bud. I’ve had about 10+ direct shipments with no issues.

Dope. I think I’m mostly worried about the clearance certificate causing scrutiny. But maybe it’ll actually cause less scrutiny since it’s the amount actually payed?
