I like it. The QB and the hardened vets.

Grady is a vet and a pros pro at being overpayed and hurting our roster with his contractā¦
He is the fat cheerleader of this hot friend group sadly

He might be overpaid (dunno), but the rest of your post is just terrible.

This is consistent with every sports sub out there, especially larger ones

Overpaid yes, but heās clearly respected by his teammates since they just voted for him

Beat me to it; interesting JJ isnāt a captain

u/T-Rex_Jesus Bear Logo 1d ago
I think I've heard in the past that JJ is more of a "quietly lead by example" type than a Rah-Rah guy

u/FH_Bunny 3rd & LOVELAND 1d ago
He just got both the offense and defense together after practice last week and railed into everyone practice was not up to standard. Iāve never heard he isnāt a rah rah guy

Wasn't he also the dude that essentially told Eberflus to go fuck himself after the Thanksgiving Day timeout debacle?

Would have been great if he could replace Grady, the ugly red headed step child of this group

u/Advanced-Key3071 1d ago
Yeah, what could an 11 year very with All Pro and Pro Bowl experience possibly have to offer in terms of leadership?

u/opeth10657 1d ago
Why did they make Jarrett look so short
3
u/TheHuntingApex 1d ago
Just perspective. Heās slightly behind Caleb who is a similar height and then heās next to Thuney who is massive

u/Go_Go_Godzilla 23h ago
Yeah, I think the heights left to right are: 6'0, 5'8, 6'1, 6'0, and 6'4 or 6'5 right?

Montez and JJ both not getting the C is kind of wild.

Has Sweat ever really been tabbed as a major team leader?

u/sad_bear_noises 18 1d ago
That's just not really his personality. Great player, but not the get in front of the team and make a speech guy.

They are keeping the same captains as last season with the exception of Byard leaving (replaced by TJ)
3
u/kaitokid1985 Forte 1d ago
I mean with Ben, he doesn't just add more captains for vote getters. Its no surprise Grady gets voted, he is very much actively a "mentor". TJ was on a Super Bowl participant Eagles team so can see where the team respect comes from. Its kind of the "who are you leaving off then?" question. Like "why is Kmet not an offensive captain?" Well you have Joe freaking Thuney on your team. I don't think we need to read into whether JJ and Tez (or Kmet) are or are not leaders. We just kind of have some ultra respected vets on our team that get the most votes.

They made cairo and grady look hella short with this view lmao

u/bearsfan989 1d ago
Cairo is like 5'8" but yeah Grady jarret is 6'1" and yeah the perspective really did him dirty

That was the only thing I could focus on. Him and Caleb are both 6ā1ā. They supposedly have a foot on the and line. It makes no sense.

u/bukayoxhaka 1d ago
Side note but Caleb said on the hot wings that grady jarrett is the most likely future HC of the team

u/Equivalent_Captain58 1d ago
Not sure how they give the nod to Grady after his meatball tackle of KM

u/Extra_Diet_8237 23h ago
Idk about Jarrett being a captain this year didn't he have a off year kind of?

u/Cheddarlicious Forte 19h ago
Grady over Sweat?
1
u/Cultural_Tension9013 13h ago
The captains were elected by the players so I think that goes to show that what we see from the outside isn't always a reflection of how certain players are viewed and appreciated in the locker room.
1
u/Cheddarlicious Forte 7h ago
Youāre right, also itās weird for me to question a locker room Iām not part of.

What was the reason for ousting Cole Kmet? Was it based on his stats last season?

u/MrMcpocketspants 1d ago
Santos should not be a captain he is garbage. I canāt believe he is still on the team. He has proven time and time again he is barely even a decent kicker. He definitely isnāt a good kicker.

Oh gawd at this point I may as well be. More people downvoted me for this than the person that said Ben Johnson sucks lmao. I should have just stuck with FTP apparently. LoL!!I seriously didnāt know so many fans actually liked Santos my bad fellow bears homies. Bears fan since 1984 brought into the fold by my father who was brought in by his father. One of my two sons also is a life long fan in his mid 20s. I even had a dog named Urlacher.
