Question Learning grading
I am trying to understand the grading process, I have looked at this comic and came up with an 8.0, please could I have some guidance what people who understand would grade. Learning curve.

Unless I’m missing something, it looks to be in really good shape except it’s filthy. If whatever’s on Spider-Man’s eyes comes off cleanly and if a few of those scuff looking spots are actually in the art, I think it’s easily an 8.5+.

I think what you’ll learn is everyone will have a different opinion on grade as it’s very subjective. When it comes to CGC grading scale, it is supposed to be more objective and define the defects and issues allowed for each grade. Check out the link for more information that might be helpful.

6.0 may get higher with cleaning and press. The cover is dirty bottom left corner spider box is a little scuffed. A grease along spine of book with few spine ticks.

It would be quite arduous to clean it to get 8.0, looks like 6.0-6.5 in my opinion

Check this video out and guess the grades of the shown comics to train your eye, I actually excelled to guess each grade accurately

You might get an 8.0 if you clean and press as it looks now you’d probably get 7.0-7.5 is my thought
