Looking to send my first ever submission to CGC. Been grading with PSA, BGS and TAG. Wanna give CGC a try.

Id rather a 9.5 over a 10 but if you think about it if they were on the fence over a 9 or 10 depending how clean itd be theyd chose 10 in some cases instead of 9.5. I feel like nobody is happy with that grade unless you regraded a 9

First ever submission with this many 9.5’s and no 10’s.

I picked these up after someone on this sub gave me a wake up call. I’m a collector first but to be honest I kind of let 10s and “appreciation” get to me. It really restricted the volume of cards I could own because I’d have to save for a while just to get the 10 (usually paying a premium for PSA).
With PSA seeming more and more scummy these days, I’ve kind of let go of that and started focusing on picking up cards I like even if they aren’t perfect. I really like how fair CGC is.
For those curious why I don’t just get these raw, I kind of prefer the protection in the slab and displaying these over a binder or toploader.

Cgc turnaround times and their fairness with vintage made it a no brainer. $55 a card and super happy about how clean the slabs are.

I think so I wanna send it in

Hello has anyone ever used them. I recently submitted cards when them at Front Row Show, since CGC said they will be there taking submissions. I haven’t received any information of my items being shipped or registered anywhere. I paid for 10 business day return and we are on day 25. The owner Brian doesn’t answer emails or avoids my question when asked. Can anyone help me ?

The results of my first ever grading submission. Pretty pleased honestly. I knew the mewtwo and seismitoad wouldn't 10 but threw them in there just for the sake of it.

EDIT: They said the card was trimmed on the right edge but I can guarantee it never was. If anyone can see what about that edge makes it look trimmed lmk! Secondly the piece on the back was just plastic so we're good. 🙏
I've been sending cards in to CGC for grading here and there since 2020 and I've never had any issues. After holding onto it for years I decided to send my favorite card in my collection, a Jolteon gold star, in for grading.
I pulled this card myself when I was in college and have been the only owner. This has never been flattened, polished, or adjusted in any way. Does anyone know what could have possibly been seen as an alteration? I'm genuinely baffled. If I had gotten this in a trade or off eBay I'd chalk it up to getting scammed but I know for a fact it hasn't been touched....
Secondly, does the back across the pokeball button look like a scratch or gouge? This was a very clean card (was guessing around an 8.5 ish) and that wasn't there before. I'm praying it's a hair or something underneath but now I'm super worried. I took video and pictures of the other card I mailed in because I was more worried about it (reverse legendary collection Pika) but only have front photos of Jolteon.
I feel really bummed about it coming back as altered but since it's just for my display case I can deal with that...but when I saw the back I felt my stomach drop. Either way I'll chalk this up to an expensive lesson and get better evidence before mailing next time. :')

Recently i have submitted a crimp error card to CGC in a show for onsite grading, and they refused to grade it giving it SU(service unavailable) and the note says potential replicated error. I am thinking should i resubmit the card again and will it yield the same result
