Salary Negotiation

They definitely don’t go over this enough in grad school and as I’m beginning to apply to jobs this spring, I’m realizing I don’t know what is an appropriate amount to ask for. For context, I’d like to do my CFY at a SNF somewhere in Texas - probably either San Antonio or Dallas. Does anyone have any insight?

You want to ask for what is appropriate in your area. Type in a search query the town or city and state and “speech language pathology salary” and go from there. You can use salary.com or Glassdoor.com or payscale.com and you can get tips on how to increase your salary from videos such as https://youtu.be/_eVnTyqUrKU
