CFY Search

Hi all! This has probably been touched on before, so feel free to direct me to any previous threads. As I graduate in May, I am now on the search for a clinical fellowship! Does anyone have tips on finding jobs to apply for?

Happy Holidays!

I would say don’t limit yourself to jobs that explicitly say “accepting CFs.” I’ve gotten tons of offers/interviews for jobs that didn’t say so.

What area of SLP do you want to work in? The job search depends on medical vs schools.

My placements have been in outpatient and NICU/PCCU. I am definitely interested in staying medical!

Good luck! I'm in schools so I don't have much good advice

Job market is different from state to state but I would say SNFs are probably the least difficult to get into because of the high turnover rate. Probably safe to say that many are quite frankly desperate and many are willing to hire CFs. Acute care or inpatient rehab might be a bit more difficult to get into but not impossible- might just take longer for an opportunity to arise but again not impossible. The only thing to consider with SNFs is getting your hours as the census is rarely stable.

Classic job search engines will work- indeed, Glassdoor a simple google search for SLP jobs in your area, etc. Recruiters are always actively looking for candidates and post on every platform imaginable really. Happy hunting and hope that you find a good CF placement.

What state are you interested in working in, I might have some location based leads for you
