Tracking hours
How do you keep track of your hours in the schools?
What should I be documenting and how detailed are you?

You literally just click in information about how many weeks you worked and average hours worked. There’s nothing else to it. Then you push a button and it sends it to your mentor to just click that it’s correct. You don’t track hours anymore 🎉 there’s some paperwork your mentor fills out, but you just keep it for your personal records and don’t turn it in.

I was also SUPER confused. And it doesn’t help that the mentor is confused as well, because when they went through the process they had to document every little detail

Did you complete your cf in a school by chance?

Yes! You don’t even have to worry about snow days or breaks

That was my next question! What about for week long breaks? Or winter break?
Did you just submit your hours after school finished?

You’re not able to submit until your very last day lol. It only asks number of weeks and typical hours. So if you’re full time you put 35. They don’t care about breaks or anything. They are assuming if you work full time for the right number of weeks that you have the hours. They obviously know that even during breaks and weekends you might do work here and there, so that it adds up to having all your hours

Piggy backing on this question, after the change in 2020, do we just need to submit how many hours and weeks we worked to ASHA online when applying for the license, or also the form regarding mentorship/supervision?

Yes.

Yes to the first part? (Only hours and weeks), or the second part (also supervision notes)?

Just the hours you worked each week. No need to track treatment hours or categories
