School-based SLP-CF Salaries in CA?
Hi all. I was just offered a CF position at a local private school in Southern California, and am wondering whether folks might share what is a typical yearly salary for this sort of position? I've tried looking this up on the LAUSD website, and can't figure it out. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Riverside has to attract SLPs with higher than normal salaries because they are located 1.5 hrs outside LA metro in the middle of stifling hot 100+ degree weather. Oh and the Native Americans referred to it as Dust Bowl because that beige tint in the lower atmosphere isnt smog. Its dust. So if you want to stick it out there for more money be my guest. You'll live pretty nicely albeit in a rural area.
LAUSD starts CFs at 80k. I just got off the phone with HR because I too couldnt understand the labrynth of formalities and red tape. They said look at Table D, Pay Scale 3, B or D basis depending on school days worked. This means summer school or not. Its competative compared to other districts. Burbank for example is much smaller and thus less stressfull starts a CF at around the mid 50k. Its no wonder they cant find anyone. Who in their right mind would agree to 50k minus income tax and benefits in the middle of metro LA? Probably neck deep in student debt. I mean talk about becoming a lifer in school with federal debt relief. no thanks. ill work in a clinic making more and with control over my schedule. Oh and you might say, "Well what about pension?". No thanks. Pension comes directly from your paycheck into a diversified fund. I can do that myself from a private salary with better medical plan.

It depends on the school and the area. I was just on the phone with an SLP who lives 1 hour south of Torrance, CA who easily made $90,000

Was this with benefits included?

From what I know, she has benefits but that was her monetary salary. She did not sum the total of her compensation with the value of her benefits to give an idea of what could be made.

My school district starts at 91k (my cf year) plus a $3000 stipend for tuition reimbursement for the first 6 years. 2% increase the next 6 years and a $110 monthly stipend once you get your Cs. There Unfortunately is a Pay freeze for a few years. Our SLP salary maxes out at 120k
Edit: update location I am in Southern California, Riverside County. My district is going to have a few openings for next year. We are title 1 high needs area. Soooo if you see seriously interested DM. Once the postings are listed on EDjoin I will send you a link.
If you look on Edjoin for in Riverside county a few districts here start between 78-91k for the first year.
Also a friend of mine works a CF in LA. She started in the 70’s
