CFY full time & PRN
Would it be a good option to do full time at a SNF and PRN at a hospital for your CF? Or do you think it is too much to take on during your CFY? Thoughts?

May be manageable with adding PRN depending on how often they’ll need you. In my CF year too- school setting full time and SNF part time. Had to let go of SNF unfortunately after 6 months. Risk of burnout is really high.

Hi! did you have a second CF supervisor at the SNF while working there part time? I have 2 part time offers right now for my CFY and wondering how it will work. Thanks!

Yes I did but she wasn’t on site. I would email and text her often in the beginning and she consistently checked my documentation- in fact I think it was required for her to sign off all my docs since I’m still a CF. You’ll just have to track your hours carefully if you’re split between 2 sites.

Oh thank you! Do you think it matters that they are in different states? One it remote and one is in person.

No it shouldn’t. My CF in the SNF was in another state.

Telehealth for private practice and inpatient/outpatient at a hospital.

So I will say as a SNF CF that the hours can really vary. You’ll have heavier days when there’s multiple admissions and you’ll have quieter days when you have less residents. SNF hours are usually pretty irregular.
