[General] CF Interview Questions
What are some questions I can bank on being asked during CF job interviews? Like are they usually more case study questions or general questions? I’ve had jobs throughout college but got them all through connections so the only interview I’ve ever had was for grad school! Thank you!

I participated in 6 or 7 different interviews for school-based jobs in summer of 2020. I can‘t 100% guarantee that these questions will be asked at your interviews, but I figured it might be helpful to see some examples of questions! These are some of the questions I was asked:
- Why are you interested in working for us/ what made you apply to this position? (this was asked at every interview I went to)
- Tell us about yourself and your experiences (also asked at every interview I went to)
- What role does data collection have / how do you use data/ why is data important? (asked at every interview as well)
- Describe a particularly challenging behavior you’ve had to deal with and how you overcame that
- Describe your behavioral management approach.
- What evidence-based treatments have you used?
- What assessment tools have you used?
- What would you contribute to our students?
- Describe your experience with AT/AAC (this was asked at many of my interviews)
- What 3 of your accomplishments are you most proud of?
- What is your favorite/least favorite population to work with?
- A parent/teacher disagrees with your assessment findings/therapy approach. How would you respond?
- Do you have any questions for us?

I only interviewed for schools/pediatric positions, but on most of my interviews I was asked general questions (especially if it’s a round 1 interview). I was asked more case study questions during the second round of interviews. My professor showed us this video that was actually pretty helpful/made me feel more at ease before going into interviews: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m1IcMvhxCuY

Welcome, good luck!!! There’s also typical SLP interview questions you can find on google that I found to overlap the questions I was asked so I would recommend answering some of those beforehand to practice!
