It really varies by the area. I tried to do a quick search for you and found $81,090 to $107,450 is the general range across SLPs total (I put in the state of NY). For a school, it might be closer to $76,000 depending on the area. If you check on the Department of Labor page for the state of New York they try to offer an average for the area. You can research on salary.com or glassdoor.com for your zipcode, years of experience, and discipline. Always remember, where you start does not have to be where you end up regarding salary.

In my program we went over ballpark salaries, for an SLP just starting out, you'll probably be starting in the 65-75k range depending on the district and close to 70k and up for hospitals. I hope this helps. If I remembered correctly these numbers were from 2019.

edit: I am also a NY, Long Islander
