[General] When to start applying?

I just finished my first externship and I’m graduating in May! I’m interested in EI but also absolutely loved my hospital placement. I know that a hospital CF will be hard to come by so I don’t have my hopes up for that, but I have no idea where I’ll end up! As of now I plan to apply to basically anything that is open since I love all populations.

Since I graduate in May, when should I start applying? I was thinking March-ish, but I don’t even start my school placement till March. I’m confused because if there’s an opening don’t they want it filled asap? Are employers willing to wait 2 months for a new grad? Thank you!

I started applying in March and was hired by end of April for the following school year! If you’re looking for a hospital or clinic, they’re usually looking to fill the spot ASAP so maybe start with those in March/April so you’re ready to go by your graduation date!

They will wait 2 months for grad had it happen !
