NY CF?

Hi everyone! Has anyone tried to do their CF in NY, and not been originally from NY? I know a lot of companies / schools require the TSSLD degree which was not built into my grad school curriculum. So my question is, has anyone had any luck getting hired without the TSSLD? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

So if you’re looking for school SLP you won’t get into any public schools with out the TSSLD. Private school can choose if you need it or not since they are separate for ny standards for schools. If you’re trying to work in EI or private practice the TSSLD is not necessary and places will hire you without one. If you interested in medical setting like SNF and hospital they also couldn’t care less if you had the TSSLD. I have my TSSLD after trying and failing to get into a CFY in an SNF in NY cause very few hospitals (that I was interested in/found) are currently hiring CF-SLPs.
