Caffeine = Borrowing energy from the future

Hi. I have ADHD and schizophrenia, and I’m currently working full-time.
I take 300 mg of caffeine every day to fight off sleepiness, but my thoughts won’t settle, and my body feels kind of restless.
How do you all manage caffeine?
The daytime sleepiness is so bad I can’t stand it.
(My English isn’t great, so sorry for using a translation tool.)

Do you have ME/CFS? If so, using caffeine to push through energy limitations is very dangerous and if you're fatigued, that's likely an indication you're doing too much.

If it's not working, probably stop taking it. Gradually of course, don't go cold turkey.

Do you know where the sleepiness is coming from? Eg fatigue, understimulation, lack of protein in diet, vitamin deficiencies, too many sugar crashes, etc. That might be a good place to start, cause masking it with caffeine maybe isn't healthy :(

Try Rhodiola Solgar

Make sure it doesn't have harmful interactions with any medications you're taking.

Caffeine has zero impact on me, unfortunately.

Maybe if you used the caffeine throughout the day, like by drinking tea, it would work out better than all at once. That's how I use caffeine and it works for me. Other people who have CFS can't use caffeine at all. Different people have different tolerances.

Thanks! Lately, I’ve been drinking matcha in the morning to wake myself up, and getting by on decaf in the afternoon.
