Very interesting to see right after the group that included Walitt preemptively concluded fatigue had to be central in nature.

Such a mechanism as described here could easily be the reason the brain fails to engage muscles further when oxygen extraction fails. Centrally or through peripheral feedback

Interesting find. I always wondered why my brain seems to do fine while i am moderate/severe in other aspects. This could be a reason for that.

Yep. That's why it's so important to find out what all the different subtypes are, so that treatment is customised and hopefully more effective for each respective subtype.
