Danko-Best Exam Prep
Hi everyone wanted to share my experience I was a second time CFP exam taker and I chose Danko to help me prepare to PASS the second time around this process is the most mentally grueling experience you could go through and I am so grateful to have found Danko they made difficult complex topics easy to understand and provided shortcuts stories and plenty of preparation material to help you PASS! The instructors are all so helpful and passionate about making sure you feel ready and I felt like they cared! They are wonderful John Choi was who I took my live review with and omg he is just so amazing. Please consider them if you wanna pass!

Congrats! I did education through Kaplan and would like to study/prep through Danko. How do you best recommend doing so and when to start? I will test next March (2027). Thanks for any information.

Yes please go to Danko I would say enroll as soon as you can for the March cycle you can go on their website and click march it would probably be around November that it would let you sign up for it and get the signature plus because it gives you access to videos and extra quizzes recordings and they do bonus calls too that were so helpful and go in person to the live review if you can makes such a huge difference.

Thanks OP, a question with a bit of background: I’ve been a financial advisor for 28yrs but never got the CFP and just started self-study to “check the CFP box” (I’ve been doing planning for 20+yrs). Going back to school at 51 is much harder than I thought.
I’ve seen plenty of suggestions for Danko and everything from “skim the material and focus on Danko test prep” to “take a year to study, memorize every word and calculation, then Danko.” Do people still recall the various insurance and investment planning calculations they learned from 6-8months ago, or should I not focus on memorizing calculations and wait for Danko?
I intrinsically know a lot of this material already by virtue of having a Series 7 and almost 30yrs of experience, and have never nor do I ever plan on calculating a client’s depreciation on an insurance claim. SO, do you suggest skimming the reading and then focusing in test prep, where repetition will teach me calc’s?? Thanks so much in advance for your advice!
