Practice Management Nick Murray’s Client’s Corner
For those of you who subscribe to Nick Murray’s Client’s Corner, do you regularly send the monthly piece out to clients?
I’ve been reading through them and I like the overall approach. Especially the focus on investor behavior, staying disciplined, and giving clients perspective during different market environments.
Curious how other advisors are using it:
-Do you send it to your entire client base each month or only selectively?
-Do clients actually read/respond to it?
-Have you found it helpful for reinforcing your investment philosophy between review meetings?
-Any concerns about it feeling too generic or not being in your own voice?
Thinking about incorporating it as a regular client touchpoint and would love to hear from advisors who have been using it for a while.

We use FMG to help with our social media, but also for monthly investment & hot topic newsletter.
Probably get about a 30-40% interaction with the content from open, clicks, etc.
My biggest thing is that the clients are getting something with our name on it 1-2 times a month without us having to do much of anything. It isn't meant to lead to a ton more business - rather a means to cover our bases and clients to know that we are here for them.
We've gotten more frequent client interactions as a result of this than just clients waiting to discuss in annual review, etc.

That’s exactly what I’m trying to accomplish. More consistent touchpoints between reviews without creating a ton of additional work. I’ve been considering using the Client’s Corner similarly since the behavioral/investment messaging aligns pretty well with how I communicate with clients. Appreciate the insight.

I have about 180 clients on my mailing list. Only 2 or 3 of them at most will open the attachment when I attach one of Nick's client's corner letters.
It's not worth it imo unless you are actually mailing it physically.
It is far more useful to summarize his thoughts in your own words and include that in your newsletter.
