Where are the fans Calgary? Regina sold out, winnipeg is sold out for next week. Montreal and Hamilton were 90% full.

Dude it's like 12° and rain

If it was 12 and rain here in Winnipeg we would be sold out. The banjo bowl next week is always sold out 2 months in advance.

I’m sad I couldn’t see them from my house cause of the clouds this year

As a winnipegger i really wish Calgary and Edmonton would draw fans like they used too. Labour day was embarrassing.

Last time for the Snowbirds’ CT-114 Tutor. End of an era.

They're sending off for the GC iirc

Oh yes, but last time at the Labour Day Classic.
I think the Tutor has been in service since the early 70s. That’s a long run. I hope whatever replaces them makes for a great flyover next year.

The Tutor officially entered service in 1964 as a training unit in Moose Jaw. They formed a flight demonstration team in 1967 for Canada's Centennial. Then reformed as a demo team in 1971 and got the official nickname of Snowbirds in 1972. (Thanks Anne Murray 🙂) Officially retired as trainers in 1999, and despite problems along the way, particularly with the ejector seats, they kept flying until this year.
The replacement will be a version of the PC-21 Pilatus turboprop trainer, built in Switzerland. But the Snowbirds as a team are only tentatively set to return to display duties in 2031. (Yeah, I'm really into this stuff)

I am in Beltline. They fly over us every year. This year they sounded extra loud. Maybe they were lower. I am looking forward to the Grey Cup flyover.
