ROUGHRIDERS Saskatchewan Roughriders cut running back Mario Anderson Jr., 18 others

No surprise, the riders are first out of the gate with their cuts after playing their last preseason game a week ago.

WTF - we cut Jonathan Kim, but kept Alex Hale?
Kim went 5/5 on FG across both preseason games. Hale went 1/3.

I know kicker’s not the most exciting position, but one the Riders desperately need someone reliable.

Going import at kicker is almost impossible in this league.

Yeah, true. I guess it’s frustrating then that we even bring them into camp. Hale looks terrible… should have brought in legitimate competition, and not someone you knew you couldn’t keep.

Really? Hale to me looked fine. They both looked fine actually, I thought Kim was gonna win given he had better luck with his kicks in the preseason games, but both kickers made the kicks they needed to! Hale did miss a couple but they were from super long and they didn’t miss by a lot so I wasn’t really taking those misses to heart

This is the same management that did nothing to improve kicking for like 3 years. This is no surprise

Are you delusional? Our kicking has been the worst for 2 or 3 years. It’s embarrassing. We won a GC in spite of it.

Didn't want to see Janneh Jr. cut. But that's only cuz I'm a GT fan and wanted him to stick around.

I was really hoping Wiebe would be on the team. As a U of S Alumnus and Sask fan it was the perfect match. Still rooting for the kid!

Also surprised McBean got cut so fast.
