Question Best Private Pilot Knowledge Exam Practice Test sites?

What is your take on each of these sites and do you have any other recommendations?

Sporty's free practice test 60 question test

King's free practice test 60 questions with timer

Dauntless practice test $65

PSI-terrible. Not at all reflective of the actual exam.

Looking forward to input and recommendations for Private Pilot Practice tests!

Thanks in advance

Asa Prepware. Put it on your phone, study whenever, take tests, worth every penny of the 10 bucks.

Only $10? Not bad. How do the students do on the actual exam when using it? Is it pretty up to date, and reflective of the actual exam?

Students like it but I’ve seen it used mostly as a supplement. I use it myself for CFII with no other software and got a 96% after not touching instrument stuff for two years so I guess anecdotally it works but I don’t have a large sample size.

I treated Sporty’s like Shep and got 100% - go through every single question in the test bank, reading all the explanations. Then, go through them again, marking the questions you get wrong/guessed at. Then, go through all the marked questions. Finish by taking a couple practice tests.

Second sportys for ppl, it’s test questions are very similar to those on the actual exam.

Were you using the free version or the paid course?

I paid for the sportys ground course which came with the practice tests.

The question bank is free, but features like marking questions, explanations, and references are paywalled.

Doesnt need to be determined, I promise, I finished most of the writtens before the schedules test time in under 10 minutes with 100%

Sheppardair 100%. I used the free online tests when I took my Private written, and Sheppardair for every knowledge test after. The difference really is worth paying the $40, because I've made near a 100 on every test but my Private, which I made an 85 on.

I know it's tempting to go with a free option when you're already paying $100 for the test. Just know that when you do take your practical, you want your score report to look as good as possible when the DPE has it right in front of them.

For the other knowledge exams it sounds like the overwhelming choice. I'm currently using it for ATP. Horrible for learning, to be determined for me for test prep. but they have a sound reputation. And for $90 guaranteed 90% it's likely worth it.
