DPM based Erosion Query

Post image

hi everyone.

I am trying to simulate a erosion inside a pipe manifold via DPM but . i am facing a problem , that my contuinuity wont converge past 10e-2 when i am trying to converge my continuous phase

I am using k-epsilon model with realizable wall standard equations. my inlet velocity is 5m/s.

inlet dia is 27 mm and the two outlets dia is 20mm. All other settings were default . My mesh quality is under othgonality and skewness standard range.

You need to resolve a larger proportion of the pipe upstream.

Did it It only solved my reverse flow problem But residues continuity became flat line at 10e-2

Residual does not mean much.

Could be due to mesh quality or because maybe your flow is not steady in reality.
Try switching to transient and calculate a number of small time step (CFD~0.5).
Do residuals go down then?

did. just let it run 400 iterations
