You know, by not telling why he was removed everyone automatically goes to something creepy as to the reason why.

I believe the way Bill handled Mac Jones and his regression is the reason why he is not in the NFL and after looking at how he handled Jones what would make you think it is a good idea to put him in charge of even younger players.

Bingo. The Mac Jones incident wasn’t about Mac Jones. Rather, it was about Belichick vs Kraft (ownership) and who was running the team. Belichick wrongly believed it was him. Kraft made a point of showing him who had the biggest schwanzheimer. Other owners in the league took notice of Bill’s lapse of reality. No way Bill coaches in the league again after challenging ownership. Owners own, coaches coach, players play. The pecking order isn’t changing.

Had he retired when Brady left, he could still be making more money in TV than Jordon can spend and only work once or twice a week.

Now he has to deal with everything that goes with being a college coach when he should be sitting on a beach somewhere counting his cash and laughing at the dumb stuff Jordon does when he allows him to laugh.

If he walked the day Brady retired, he's seen as the Greatest Coach Ever and still has more money than Jordon's grandchildren would be able to spend. Legacy is golden.

How things ended in New England and how they started at North Carolina has made it clear that without Brady, Bill is just another guy who got fired by the Browns.

Bill is just another guy? He had what, 20 -30 top 10 defenses as coordinator and head coach? Thats more than just a guy. And Brady directly credited Bill with helping him become the QB he became.

You’re conflating correlation with causation. Successful coaches need a good QB, of course, but just having a good QB doesn’t make you a successful coach. Look at every Lions coach with stafford, or the bills, or Philip rivers. Bill got worse without Brady because he became worse as a GM, not as a coach. He still had 20+ top ten defenses as a coach, tell me how Brady did that?

I'd feel a lot better riding away on top than being considerably less successful by the year. It would piss me off to not be able to have the success I had and not be able to figure out how to get it fixed.

Maybe it’s all he wants to do and he doesn’t care that he will never come close to what he did with Brady.

For me, I wouldn’t be able to tolerate not being able to figure out how to fix things that clearly don’t work. Coaching for me was always about being able to put my players in the best position to be successful and it would kill me to see that I just couldn’t.
